Tuna Goreng Masak Lemak (Fried Tuna in Green Gravy)

 Our simple dinner menu: Fried Tuna in Green Gravy, Fern & Bean Sprout Salad and Sambal Belachan (not shown).
Refer here for Fern and Bean Sprout Salad (I skipped the ginger & lime this time).

INGREDIENTS:
2 slices Tuna
1 tsp Turmeric Powder - rub on fish 
4 Shallots*
2 cloves Garlic*
5 or more/less Thai Chili Padi*
1-2 Green Chilies* (* pounded) 
1" Ginger - bruised 
1 piece Dried Tamarind
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 bowl Coconut Milk
1 Tomato - diced
1 Big Onion - sliced 
Salt

METHOD:
1. Rub fish with salt & turmeric powder.
Deep fry until golden brown.
Place aside.

2. Heat up few tbsp oil & stir fry the pounded ingredients & ginger until fragrant.
Add in coconut milk, turmeric powder & tamarind piece. Let it boil.

3. Add in fried fish, tomato, big onion & salt.
Let it boil for 5 minutes.

4. Serve with white rice.
