Happy 2nd Birthday Liana

 To my sweetie and beloved daughter Liana, HAPPY BIRTHDAY...!!! Momma, Abah, Along, Angah & Usu love you so much and want to see you grow faster..... May Allah protect and bless you everyday and forever.

 This year I made Liana a barbie doll cake. Since Liana love fruits so much and she is refrained from chocolate, I decided to make Fresh Fruit Pound Cake. The decoration was mainly sugar paste and partly fondant. The barbie doll was specially express mailed by Acik Nani from KL. It is my very very first attempt in decorating a barbie doll cake and very satisfied with it.... something for Liana to look back and feel proud of her mum's effort... may not be the best but it came from the bottom of my heart.

Liana actually cut the cake two days ago on Sunday during the gathering I had in my house. See here the makan-makan occasion. Someone commented that Liana's doll on the cake grown bigger year after year (referring to last year cake which had much smaller doll - see here). Syukor, alhamdulillah, Liana has also grown bigger and so fast she is now two years old.

To all aunties out there, much love and hugs from Liana. Thank-you so much for always asking about Liana from time to time.

Hello from Liana

Salam rindu makcik2 semua, dah lama Liana tak muncul kan.... mama nak bercuti sekejap, so Liana tolong ganti kat cini jap. Bukan Liana sorang tapi Lili pun ada tolong temankan.... (Lili tu twin Liana sebab nama Liana pun sebenor nya Lili (Rozliliana) tapi Opah tak kasi guna nama tu, so mama namakan kat baby alive tu). Liana cayang cangat2 dengan Lili, pergi mana pun dia usung, tak henti2 cium....! Lili pun kena kasi nenen & ganti pempes bila shee shee & puu puu, pandai nyanyi2 & sembang2 dengan Liana.... meh makcik2 main dengan Liana sebab mama nak gi jauh....

My Littel Liana has grown up very fast & she'll be 2 years old in 2011...! A very smart kid as she talks a lot (in fact non-stop) and communicates well at this age including able to name all animals, vegetables & fruits in English from her books and also able to count 1-10...! Amazing achievement for the age! My eldest son AlongRiz was also as smart who could count 1-100 at 2 yrs+ and started reading at 3 yrs. Actually I put very little effort but she just loves books over toys, just like AlongRiz. The moment I stepped into the house from work she ran to me with her books demanding me to read them. She'll remember the names just after one or two times telling her.... amazing eh...!

Liana on Holiday and My 21st Anniversary

 Hello everyone, I am back feeling mentally fresh after few days holidaying in KK in conjunction with our 21st wedding anniversary. It was a whole family trip and we had lots of fun going round to several places including a boat ride to an island. It was just a very short break but so good to be away from daily routines.....
Thanks so much to my sister & BIL who entertained us everyday for tour...love you all...!!

Syukur, alhamdulillah that we made it for another year a happy and blessed marriage. What more can I ask from Allah except for continuous happiness and blessings for both of us and our children. No home-made cake this year to share with all of you but sharing some photos with Liana who enjoyed herself more than anyone else.

To MAA, thanks for remembering our special date with advance wishes.... appreciate that very much especially your very encouraging support for this blog.

Hello from Liana

 For all aunties out there, MamaHana and of course Darwish (hehehe) who are missing me.... here I am again. I'm a big girl now and can stand still & do posing (mommy need not chase me around anymore)..... Liana is very talkative.... very clever too. She can name many animals, fruits and things in English by now (she'll be 1½ years old by 24th Nov).

 I'm looking for someone... who is that person...?

heheee... sorry, it's me again. Mommy asked me to do special posing today for Auntie Norjanah who gave me this beautiful pink dress.... but as usual mommy complained that it is so challenging to get nice still picture - see the above pictures then you know what she meant.

To Auntie Norjanah, sorry to keep you waiting but I love this dress. Thanks so much .... mmmmuah2 & hug2 for you from me & mommy.

To all aunties out there, mommy said I can take over the food posting for a while and play with all of you.... jangan boring dah ya...hehe.

Long Time No Hear No See

No appearance since the last two months.... now I'm backed! Mommy is just too bz and Liana is not an easy catch nowadays but tonight  mommy managed to snap her while she was playing with daddy's handphone. Another photo was snapped by her brother few days ago.

She just had her first hair cut today (just the fringe)...

Hello from Liana & Mommy

Hello all aunties and friends out there. Thank-you for your wishes and prayers. Although I'm not yet fully recovered from fever (still under observation) but mommy said I'll be alright. Mommy has to go for further check on Monday but I think she'll be alright too. Love you all....hug2...!

By the way, would like to share Liana progress at 1 year:
- She has attained more than 10 vocabs : mama, abah, kakak, angah, bird, auntie, opah, cat, Liana, buah, nyum (eating), broom-broom (car).... and more being picked-up.
- She can run and kick a ball.
- She points a finger to insruct someone what she wants.
- She can answer questions e.g. Have you eaten? Answer: "Dah", Who feed you? Answer: "Kakak/Abah/Mama" accordingly, What's your name? Answer "Liana"... and can also answer few other simple questions.
- She can point correctly for "Hair/Head/Eye/Nose/Mouth/Teeth/Hand & Leg" when asked.

Her regular doctor (child specialist) was very impressed with her yesterday...! I hope she will grow healthy, be smart & a good girl.

Another Birthday Cake for Liana

We went back to my hometown recently for family gathering in a new house and to celebrate Liana's 1st birthday. It was such a big gathering with my other 9 siblings and families (except my sister who is working in Sabah). There were more than 40 of us on that night. The gathering was on 29th May, the day I arrived. Everything including food, birthday cake, house cleaning, etcs were arranged by my brothers & families. The 3kg cake above was ordered by Pak Ndak from a bakery belonged to my neighbour, with Liana's face painted on the cake.... nice eh...hehe.

The family gathering was fun with loads of foods, jokes and hilarious moments. Then the next day was a more serious event with friends invited for prayer & tahlil for my arwah father.  I was too busy to snap photos but the menus were:

1st day family gathering menu:
- Mak Ndak special kuey teow soup
- Bamboo Lemang by Pak Long with Beef Rendang by Opah
- Bolied Lemang with Mak Ndak Beef Rendang
- Nasi Himpit & Peanut Sauce (prepared by my mum)
- Cup cakes (bought)
- Spiral Curry puffs (Chef Ina - my niece)
- Roti John & burgers (chef Ina)
- Barbeques (chicken, seafood balls, sausages, etcs)
- Roti Canai (bought)
- Coleslaw (by Acik, my sister)
- Boiled Chickpeas (by Makcik)
- Assorted fruits (durian, langsat, mangosteen, laici, rambutans, red & yellow watermelon)
(could be more.... well, no wonder Malaysians are well known for great eating habits...!)

2nd day Tahlil menu:
Beef Rice, Dalca, Chicken Masak Merah, fresh Satay (grilled on the location), salad, poppadom, Bubur Gandum, Agar2 Lumut, Puding Kastad, fruits, etcs. All guests walked away with a bag of door gifts (a pair of glasses & cupcake).

... that were not all, we had third day gathering on Fri 4th Jun when my sister & her family arrived from Sabah. I took turn to prepare for a simple menu: Spaghetti Bolognaise, Mushroom Soup, BBQ (garlic bread, jacket potatoes, chicken wings/drumsticks). Some pot lucks: Laksa Penang (Mak Ndak), Bandung Jelly (Mak Long), Kuih Lepat (Syuk's mum), Durians (Pak Ndak), Nasi Briani (Acik Nor).... walaaaa.... makan-makan....!

Wow....! Surprise sesangat....! Tetiba dapat call dari sahabat yang jauh nun di Semenanjung suruh check nape parcel tak sampai2. Bila call PO, rupa2 nya parcel baru je sampai hari ni..... Terima-kasih tak terkata Along pada sahabat Along ni. Semuga Allah berkati nya sekeluarga, murah rezeki & sihat2 semua.

Sepasang gaun pink, hair band & klip rambut sempena hari jadi Liana 1 tahun.... (ingat je dia bulan lahir Liana, parcel ni dah di kirim 2 minggu lalu). Cantik sangat ler Auntie... Liana pun mmg tak byk dress sbb mama & abah asyik beli seluar terlupa lak nak beli dress, nasib auntie kasi satu ni haaa....

 Ini pulak hadiah untuk Along, fridge magnets (from luar negara....) & keychain:

Sebenor nya, Along snap punya ler byk gambo, sampai 117...! Semua nya kelabu kecuali yg satu tu sebab Liana sekarang ni seminit pun tak duk diam, asyik jalan ke sana-kemari je. Dia terkejut bila Along buat suara meow2 baru dapat snap satu...aduh2... sekarang baru you all tau nape jarang2 kuar gambo Liana, berpeluh-peluh nak dapat satu gambo pun....hehe. Nak tengok versi kelabu, ni dia haaa

Birthday Gifts for Liana from Darwish

Tunang Liana (ehem ehem...), mama mertua (hikhik...) sekeluarga kat Jepun adiahkan kek bertingkat2, bunga & teddy bear.... eh ada lagi tau...1000 kuntum munga hantor pakai kapal lum sampai lagi....hehehe... Bertuah nya Liana ada tunang hensem & lomantik and mama mertua yg baik-hati & sporting.... Love you all and thank-you so much....!

Ni ler tunang Liana kalau anda nak tau...hehe... sherious nya... lama sangat dok kat taman tu tunggu Liana tak sampai2...

Liana's 1st Birthday

 

Today Liana is 1 year old.....! Happy Birthday Sayang mama..... Alhamdulillah, syukur.... mama doakan Liana cepat besar, sihat & be a good girl.

Below is her birthday cake that I made myself. Although it is ugly, I felt very happy and proud that I made one for her (made with full love). Hopefully when she grows up, she can look back for all her birthday cakes collections and feels proud of her mum too....

Liana's First Car

Liana's dad bought her new clothes (during his business travels) for her every monthly birthdays but on her 11th month birthday dad bought her a car....! He told me he is going out to have hair cut but returned with this little pink car for our lovely Liana. It took quite a while for her two brothers to assemble the car and finally here she goes...

Special greeting from Liana this morning! It is very challenging to snap her photo nowadays as she is very active and hardly sit still. Out of 10 snaps, I'll be lucky to get one clear picture and the rest are all blur due to her non stop movements.

Liana 10 Months

Auntie2 ramai yang rindu dengan Liana tanya kenapa lama dah Liana tak muncul. Ni lah sebab nya, tengok kat atas tu menjerit2 kalau letak, asyik nak dokong jer.... Liana sekarang dah boleh berjalan 5-6 langkah sambil lompat2...hehe. Bercakap pun bukan main petah...

On her 10th month birthday, dady bought Liana a pair of jeans & ruffled blouse from KL. Tengok lah tu dapat lah bergaya seminit jer.... special posing buat auntie2 semua especially mak mertua ku (laling darwish jugek...hehe), Auntie Zana and auntie2 semua yang bertanyakan khabar Liana.
